Wow - sucks to be you, then. But only temporarily. 😛

I have EXTENSIVE granuloma over my trunk, breasts, hiney and feet, and a bit on my hands and thighs. All these massive, pink bumpy areas. Otherwise I’m stark white-- almost greenish-white.

Bad knees… I’ve had 4 surgeries since mid-2003. The two most recent were November and December of '05.

My left ACL has been repaired twice. It was stretched, then later torn.
I had scar tissue from the aforementioned surgeries removed from the left knee in an attempt to eliminate the uncomfortable popping in my knee. It can still be heard across the room.
Torn meniscus in the right knee.
And I have no clue how I injured my knees! 😕

Also I have panic attacks and depression.

Depression/anxiety and rosacea (both under control).
Mild acne.
Insomnia.
Several abnormal pap smears over the years.
Really bad menstrual cramps.

Judging from the rest of the posts, I would have to say I am very lucky!

Holy crap! I haven’t heard or used the phase “Osgood Schlatter” since sophomore year of high school back when I was still running track and growing! Good memories.

I’m going to be hearing Europe’s “Final Countdown” whenever I read a **Hal Briston** post from now on. Better than the soft cries of sheep.

Ironic, considering how exceptionally pretty he was.

I have or had, in no particular order:
– Bi-polar disorder (was on lithium and assorted anti-deps for 9 years, but I gained so much damned weight I stopped taking them)
– Mild panic attacks
– Astigmatism
– Myopia
– Morbid obesity
– There’s something wrong with my feet, but I’m afraid to go to the doctor and find out
– I had a hemmorhoid last year (and it flared up just a tiny bit last month)
– I’m always cold (just can’t get warm enough when it isn’t summer)
– Receding hairline (but hey, I’m a guy. In my 30s. I’d be surprised if it wasn’t receding)
– I have really bad social anxiety (undiagnosed, but I rarely go out in public because I can’t stand the thought of having to actually interact with people I don’t know – thank Og that most of my work is online and over the phone)

All in all, I’m pretty healthy. Except for those parts where, yknow, I’m not.

I’m so myopic, I’m almost legally blind. I’m sure some of you have it worse, but I’m freaking SEVENTEEN. I haven’t gone a day without my glasses since I got them when I was eight.

What else? I’m pretty sure I have some sort of OCD. It’s not an official diagnosis but I figure when you actually have it, it’s pretty hard to miss. I hate cleaning and I never wash my hands unless there’s an actual reason for it, instead I sit around and bite my nails for an hour until they’re exactly the right shape and other crap like that.

And my back is crooked, sideways AND forward. I should really go see a doctor about that.

I’m pretty healthy, but some of the standard things:

I’m fairly nearsighted. My doctor likes to joke how people like me never survived in the olden days because they usually fell off cliffs. :smack:

I also have that stupid Restless Leg Syndrome. Not bad all the time, just when I’m trying to sleep!

And I am clumsy. I just broke a wine glass a few nights ago. :o I’ve gotten tons better, but still about once a month I drop something. I usually don’t break anything, though, that was unusual even for me.

Heh, I got my glasses at age 9, and my myopia was so bad that I was legally blind by age 16. I should have gotten glasses sooner than age 9, but I thought it was normal to not be able to read billboards or see plays from the middle rows. Thank god it seems that my eyes have stopped changing as rapidly now.

Its funny in a sad kind of way when your 18 year old eyes are worse than your 56 year old fathers. :smack:

ADD, but I’m off my meds. I’ve found a work pattern that allows me to be productive, and a job that requires me to change my focus many, many times a day.

I have something _like_ hypoglycemia. I’ve had loads of blood tests, and my blood sugar levels have never dropped to the level it takes to be considered hypoglycemic, but my body behaves as if it had. So I have to live my life as if I did have the condition. Certain people have been noticibly unsympathetic, treating me as a “faker,” which makes it hard. I don’t actually **want** to be churlish, shaky and slurring, trust me.

Me.
Well according to the psych I have an obsessive compulsive _personality_. It’s not to the point of causing major problems or keeping me from daily activities. For me, \*most \*of the time it’s just a tolerable annoyance.

Is it mitrol valve prolapse, by any chance? My mom and my sister both have it.

I have three degenerative disks in my back, which severely limits my physical activity. I wish I could just get a spine replacement.

My eyes are pretty bad. If I didn’t have glasses, I’d have to hold a book a couple inches (maybe 3ish) away from my face to be able to read it. But then I’d get a headache.

And I think I have allergies now too. But I don’t want to get one of those 89078734 needles test, so I’m not sure.

I’ve had severe reflux for at least 17 years (I’m only 26 BTW). I had a scope done last year and miracle of miracles - no scar tissue. The doctor and I were both astonished.

I have floating kneecaps - the left worse than the right. I frequently get extreme stabbing pains in my left knee which shoot up to my hip and down to my toes.

I was recently offically diagnosed with astigmatism in both eyes.

I’m on a Glaucoma watch for the next few years.

I was also recently diagnosed with [Pseudotumor Cerebri](http://www.ninds.nih.gov/disorders/pseudotumorcerebri/pseudotumorcerebri.htm) . This means my optic nerves are bulging - as if I had a tumor pressing on them. I had a CT scan which proved that I have no real tumors - at least not in my head. According to my opthamologist it commonly afflicts young, overweight white women. I am overweight. Despite losing 25 pounds in the last 3 months, the bulging has not gotten any better. It can be caused by steroids. I had 2 cortisone shots last year before finally having back surgery so it’s possible that was the cause. I have to have a couple peripheral vision tests over the next few months to see if my field of vision is lessening. We’re currently waiting for records from my neurologist. If he took cerebro-spinal fluid pressure readings before doing my cortisone shots we might be able to see if my pressure was elevated before the shots. If those records don’t show anything, I’ll have to have yet another big ass shot in my spine to test the levels. If they’re too high, I’ll have to take medication. If the medication doesn’t work, I may have to have some fluid drained. Yippee

People say that getting old sucks. I wouldn’t know. I’m not old. But my 20’s have certainley sucked the big one.
