I dated your sister Mary Pat until you told me not to.
Today is tomorrow.
Bing!
I said stay and you stayed? I can’t even make a collie stay.
I, of course, spent last night watching it. After all, it was Groundhog Day … again.
I don’t think so, but I could check with the kitchen.
It would be interesting to have a “Unified Field Theory” covering “Groundhog Day”, “12:01” 12:01 (TV Movie 1993) - IMDb, and “Day Break” Day Break (TV Series 2006–2007) - IMDb
What about Russian Doll?
I’m betting he’s gonna swerve first.
Sorry if someone has mentioned this already, but I was blown away this time around with the film to realize that Michael (General Zod) Shannon is the young groom who almost doesn’t get married.
Do you think he actually remembers Ned or he just goes along with it to get him to shut up?
You must understand that that is an entirely neutral term. A TV production, for example, has the lights, the cameras, the script, the talent, the set and so forth. The “talent” is just the wetware that moves around of its own accord and makes (usually) comprehensible mouth noises. It is just a thing, which may or may not actually be talented but usually does have enough training/skill to function adequately.
The latter.
I’m both! I’m a celebrity with an emergency.
I don’t know why he never tried just heading to Pittsburgh first thing in the morning. He would probably beat the blizzard that way.
He probably did, at least once. Found out that the overwhelming number of choices of things to do in the 24 hours or so allotted was just too much to contemplate.
*Rita: *Believe it or not, I studied 19th-century French poetry.
*Phil: *(laughs) What a waste of time! …I mean, for someone else that would be an incredible waste of time. It’s so bold of you to choose that. It’s incredible; you must have been a very very strong person.
And then he pretends to like 19th century French poetry, making him out to be a lyin’ bastard, saying anything to get in her pants.
You KNOW on the Final Day he used 19th century French poetry.
Trouble was, he was right the first time. Wonder how much she uses her degree producing crappy TV weather shows.
The scene annoys me, because she clearly presents it as a ridiculous major. Also, I hate when she gets mad that he didn’t propose a toast to world peace.
Too early for flapjacks?
I’ve seen this movie a dozen times (including when it came out in theaters 26 years ago) and what struck me this time was Phil never freaked out.
If I was caught in a time loop, I’d have a panic attack. For Phil he just accepts it pretty fast. The guy is ice cold.
