How dare you reply to my well researched and entirely serious analysis with 'facts. How do we know they are Punxatawnians?![]()
Did he just call himself “the talent”?
What the heck is going on here?
I dated your sister Mary Pat a coupla times until you told me to stop? Bing!
I may be weird, but my favorite line of the whole movie is (in quotes):
Ned: I dated your sister Mary Pat a coupla times 'till you told me not to anymore.
Phil: Ned? Reyerson?
Ned: Bing!!!
“Phil: <rainman voice>Biiiinnnngg.</rainman voice>”
The way Murray delivers that line is impecable. Biiiinnnngg.
Phil: Ned Ryerson - I have missed you so much. [hugs him] I don’t know where you’re headed, but… can you call in sick? [keeps hugging him and rubbing his back]
Ned: Uh… I gotta get going.
You could be on to something. But I keep thinking of Ned cackling “Watch out for that first step, it’s a doozie!” like he was the Wicked Witch of the West.
Too early for flapjacks?
I watched this movie again the other day. I think I have been reading the Big Bang Theory threads too much.
I was getting irked that Phil kept on waking up at 6 am and it was daylight.
Sunrise isn’t until about 7:30 am in the Pittsburgh area on February 2nd.
Let’s go down to the quarry and throw stuff down there! They did that in this movie, right?
There is a pic of Murray holding the groundhog in his car while driving.
Whenever I see that I hear “I’m alright” from Caddy Shack.
But, I have not yet seen this film.
I wonder if it is on Hulu.
Maybe I will check tonight.
Hmm… make that this morning.
My hours are flipped right now to support some projects on the other side of the planet.
And, yes, I am goofing off right now.
But, I am not being paid so don’t get huffy.
heh heh heh
He may have woken up at 6am, but each day actually began at 5:59am.
Oh, that explains it then. there is a lot more daylight at 5:59 am than at 6:00 am.
:smack: :dubious:
Well, I sure as heckfire remember you!
There is no way this winter is ever going to end as long as this groundhog keeps seeing his shadow.
I don’t see any other way out.
He’s got to be stopped.
Don’t drive angry!
Well, there ya go. Ha! Now we know why you’re “not from Mensa.” :D;)
No, really, I was just mentioning that because everyone always makes a big deal about the new day starting at 6am. But the clock always shows 5:59. He just wakes up at 6:00.
Just saw it again. The morgue attendant who shows the just-fell-to-his-death Phil’s corpse to Rita and Larry, as well as the nurse at the hospital who tells Larry that the old homeless guy has died, are both black.
Correction.
