What title would you almost certainly ignore?
What topic would you be least likely to post to?
What percentage of threads do you find the titles interesting enough to at least do a mouse-over to see what’s behind the title?
What are the odds that this thread will get more than three replies?

If I’m not willing to read the post, I’m not likely to post to it. If I’m willing to read it, it’s because I might have something to add. The topic I would be least likely to post to is any topic that is of a subject that I would have asked a question about too. “Hey, what a great question. I wonder what the answer is.”

I like looking at threads where there are pictures (sadly there seems to be a dearth of JD pictures, but one can hope). Cat pictures, photo assignment pictures, pictures of Dopers themselves…all good.
I tend to stay out of Great Debates because even when the topic is interesting, it seems to end up as just so much hot air being blown around.
I ignore the political threads in the pit for the same reason stated above.

I must confess that any title with TMI in it will make me do at least a mouse-over. If the contents aren’t extremely gross I may read at least the OP.
I’m also a sucker for closed threads, at least as far as seeing why it was closed. In those cases I go directly to the last post for that purpose and may read nothing else in the thread.
I tend to avoid political issues topics, especially the ones in GD. Religious issues are likewise a turnoff.
The photos and videos threads usually attract my attention, but I’d say my curiosity doesn’t go much beyond the OP for most of them.
Breaking news and obituary threads normally make me look at least as far as a mouse-over.
Anything that appears to deal with local (Tennessee) topics will cause me to look more closely.
Unless a Pit thread happens to have features already listed I will avoid it, and most often when I look at a Pit OP, that’s the end of my interest in it.

Same here, I’m always interested to see if it because the OP has been banned or what the violation was.
Anything that has to do with the military specifically, the Army will at least get a mouse over from me.
I will almost always post to the game threads, and there has been a drought of those lately.
The title I would be most likely to read is _Sgt Schwartz has just won $1 million and doesn’t know it yet._

I’d be likely to read anything promising baby pictures and/or stories, anything about musicals or dance, anything about weight loss/nutrition or vegetarian type stuff, and… gosh, all kinds of stuff. and of course anything like, **Hey, SurrenderDorothy!** or **I’m dying and I want to leave my $1,000,000 to a blonde American girl age 14-16. Any takers?**

anything about sports, MMPORGs, most comic books, the majority of political debates, and I’ll usually skip threads about relationships unless I’m really bored or unless I know some of the story already.
**What topic would you be least likely to post to?**
Anything I wouldn’t read, certainly. Also, anything sexual or TMI. I’ll read those threads but I don’t have enough experience with sexual stuff to add anything and I don’t want to hijack those threads with questions, and although I find other people’s TMI intriguing, I haven’t been here long enough to want to share my pants- shitting pimple-popping floor-vomitting stories with you.

probably 80. I’ll at least mouse-over almost anything.
