So, I’m pre-emptively putting this in the Pit, because it will eventually end up there, but that’s not the exact intent. When it comes to referring to Trump supporters, especially in threads in Politics and Elections, it is sometimes hard to use a blanket term to refer to those who support him without moving into the realm of mockery, however deserved. Can’t honestly use Republicans or Conservatives, because so many of them have no idea what an actual (traditional) Republican or Conservative POV _is_. So the most common ones I have seen or used is Trumpist (neutral), Trumpanzees (insulting, but not personal and still PG), Trumptards (fully insulting and also moving towards personally insulting). In the pit, or offline, I find fun ones like Cheetoids, Magaturds, and more all the way up to ‘treasonous shits who should _bleeeeep_’. So here we are, what are you favorite shorthand terms for people who support Trump. Snarky but PG-13 would be best, but again, I put this in the Pit knowing full well what a lot of people think. ---

My go-to when dealing with them on Facebook is Trumpnik, to emphasize their traitorous aid for Russian objectives. It doesn’t do any good to criticize them for racism or misogyny, because those are positive aspects for them, and they respond with racist and sexist posts. I find I can get them to squirm and splutter if I insult their patriotism. ---

In our family they’re Trumpers. It’s what we use both with our kids and between my wife and me. My nine-year-old daughter asked the other day what the Biden version of Trumper was, and I said Biden supporters don’t have anything close to the level of feverish devotion to the man as Trump supporters do, so there really isn’t any comparable term. ---

I think “Trump supporter” by itself is sufficiently damning, although I have used “Trumpublicans” sometimes to point up especially egregious instances of spinelessness or sycophancy toward Trumpish idiocy on the part of the Republican Party as a whole. I use the term “Trumpery” to designate the whole constellation of incompetence, corruption, malice, authoritarianism, bigotry, self-dealing, demagoguery and ratings-chasing that is the Trump administration’s approach to “governance”. The Republican Party’s overall embrace of Trumpery IMO is a serious threat to democracy and needs to be sharply called out and pushed back on. ---

Losers. He lost, that makes him a loser. So his continued support is by default composed of people who support losing. Trump himself made the loser tag the lowest of the low. So now that he has lost he and his followers must now be called losers. In fact I think he is so afraid of being labeled a loser is why he keeps denying the election results. He and his crowd made their bed, so lay in it LOSERS. ---

While I agree with all the snark in the end I go with Trumpists because I prefer names that are not made to be derogatory. Otherwise we end up with Dims yelling at MAGAts. ---

You seem to be under the impression that there is a meaningful difference between Trumps supporters and republicans. Or that a Conservative (if the name has any meaning) would have voted for anybody but Biden. I forgot to answer the OP: nevermind: “Trump supporter” will be a bigger insult in the eyes of history than nazi, racist, idiot, etc will ever be. ---
