I asked a mod, via PM about 3-4 weeks ago, about if a potentially touchy topic (Nothing Cesario related) is allowed. He kindly mentioned he would discuss it with other mods and get back to me. I haven’t seen any responses from him or others yet. How long is typical to wait for such a ruling, and what should my next step be in order to encourage the decision along? ---

Well, when they tell me they will get back to me, or when they tell me to ask via PM instead of here, I take them at their word. And when they “forget” - not the first time this has happened to me - then I start to wonder if there is a pattern, and post publicly to alert people. I know they generally do a bang-up job, I commend them for that. They are probably a bit frazzled right now as a group, can’t blame 'em for that, it’ll get better soon. Still, Collibri (IIRC) tells me to post here and I get ignored (I did ask about this topic earlier), Tuba Diva says ask via PM, and I did that and was ignored. What to do, what to do, like I said. ---

Are you OK? Because you totally missed the point of this thread. He asked about getting his question answered not about any moderation. Besides, him asking about moderation doesn’t affect your life, really. It’s just a messageboard. ---

I second jjimm here - I sense some anger and I bet the root cause is nothing to do with this message board. ---

Yeah but it is “our” message board, and I feel all the rousing from the rabble reflects badly on it, and disappoints me to find out that the rabble is as close minded as the general public if not more so. The decision predates me even knowing about it, so there was already plenty of people worked up about it besides me. I think we have all had rules and restrictions placed on us, vague in manner, and for us to guess about, as a result of the uproar, and about a single poster at that. I think some of us are going to have chilled speech as a result, and that does not reflect well on us or the messageboard. ---

Sheesh, It’s like **mswas** all over again. Well, hope it was fun for you while it lasted **not alice**. My suggestion is to take a break for a day or two, but it seems like you’re not going to be doing that at all. ---

The mod in question took it upon themselves to PM me and turn my PM into a private Pit because of what I said in that Free Speech thread. This went back and forth for quire a while before I had to twist their arm a bit to get them to stop. Couple of things of note: 1 - At no point did this mod, who was worked up over the thread as it had developed to that point, ever even hint that there was a problem relating to either child porn or cesario. this was during the time when the damning post "quoted " by PlanJain in my pit thread had already occured. 2 - During that discussion with the PM, there was some discussion about what topics are appropriate. I asked about a topic, mod said wait, I’ll get back to you. So there was some animosity on the part of the mod - the real issue with the mod was not that thread, but something I said long ago and the mod needed to unload I guess. Fine, but it didn’t end well, and so my request went unheeded. No way am I going back to that mod for guidance, said mod has been carrying a serious grudge to get that off their chest for quite a while. Why that was the time or the way to do it, I don’t know. Out of respect for the system, I am leaving identifying details out. But that is why I don’t see going back to the original mod. I also asked here, although it may have honestly got buried in a flurry in ATMB in another thread. I don’t care if the other mod is mad at me - I haven’t sensed poor moderation as a result, except for this lack of follow through. So that is mostly to the mod’s credit. So am I supposed to go “mod shopping” via PM until I get an answer? Maybe this will jog said mod’s memory and spring forth the results of the promised discussion among other mods, and all will be forgiven and forgotten. > [@](#): > > Seriously, is something up? Honestly, I was just trying to say it was **not** related to the present controversy, which as Marley brought up himself, it was not. Has I said “not pedophilia related” instead of “not [\*\*\*\*] related” would that have sufficed? Anorexia has to be one of the most silly health conditions out there, which the over publication of, combined with the wrong kind of “fat acceptance” has led to millions of obese women. I’d certainly like to participate. Any quarrels with board staff about what appear to me to be nothing other than technicalities - with aggression more a clash of personalities than anything else - are just a colossal waste of time for everyone. Or at least such is my tuppenceworth 🙂 Anyhow it is good to hear that your personal life is healthy. Such is more important than some bits and bytes on a monitor 😃 ---

That is _exactly_ how it went because I was quoting from the PMs. How do you expect to agree to disagree while saying I am lying? I’m not interested in getting into a long argument about this. Your OP (nevermind what you posted afterward) is not even remotely accurate and if you wanted to send a reminder rather than attempt to embarrass me publicly, you could have sent another message. In any case your question has been answered. There is no rule against discussing pro-anorexia sites. There is no reason there would be any such rule here. Edit: And I agree this conversation need continue no further.
