# What to do with my mini afro? (Can I use a flat iron?)

I have rather annoying hair. I used to cut it every few weeks, cause it always grew into a big puffy afro type formation.
As of late, I’ve been growing it out, cause that’s what rebellious teens do.
However, the afro look is sort of annoying me. I can flatten it out a bit after it gets cleaned, but after it dries it’s all puffy again.
My sister has some flat iron hair straightening dealy. Would this do anything to reduce the puffy afro look?
Is there any other course of action I can do to make my long hair look better than the afro look?

Dude, sounds like we have the same hair. I have no real advice for you, because I pretty much sort of comb it back with hair-lift when it’s wet, and maybe brush back the sides. I wait months between haircuts, BTW. It’s not good hair.
But I’d still rather not be losing it!
