I’m sure that isn’t your goal, but you need to take a look at the way you respond to people and make sure you’re helping the person by giving them the answer they need or pointing them in the right direction to find the answers they need. Short of that, consider not responding at all - or at least don’t make the situation worse by coming off as a giant douchebag!!

That particular poster, SeaDragonTattoo, has helped countless animals, as well as quite a few people here. The reason she questioned the use of “foster” is to determine whether the cat was eligible for veterinary services provided by a shelter. It was certainly no reason to go off on her.
