I have never played it (I did piano for about 3 months as a kid). I will go tomorrow to buy it and schedule lessons. Yay! ETA: there’s a clever boy, **Gnat**! Also, I do give blood once a year at my church blood drive. Doing it more frequently leaves me prone to colds and yes, feeling like crap. Believe it or not, I was below the weight limit in college (can we say SKINNY?! I smoked like a chimney, but I was THIN, THIN, THIN, baby!). So, I do what I can. ---

A purring kitty who fights my efforts to move her off my shoulder. Purring kitties are tough critters. ---

I love how we have contributions from cats and babies, as well as mentions of TOEFL testing. [/QUOTE] I saw this this morning but didn’t have the energy to respond. This is a huge problem for me, as well as a terrible hold-over from the emerging AIDS crisis when everybody was just filled with panic. Almost every year there is new legislation to change this deferral policy imposed by the FDA (not the Red Cross, or your local donation centers), and every year it remains the same. I hate it not only because it means we have to turn away thousands and thousands of healthy (but homosexual) donors, but also because of the negative stigma it has created in the gay community towards the whole blood transfusion part of medicine. I can’t change the rules, but in the meantime I can only try to apologize for them. ---
