Denver, so let’s see…Casa Bonita? check, coupla times. But all those world class ski resorts up in the hills? Nope. That’s a lie, I’ve been to Keystone once, to catch a gondola up to [Alpenglow Stube](https://www.opentable.com/alpenglow-stube), but I haven’t put skis on my feet for 26 years. It’s not that I fear for my knees, I just hate crowds of the sorts of people who like to ski that much. Which is not to say I don’t like skiiers, they just have a different sense of personal space than I do. My ‘bubble’ is about 300 yards in diameter. When I’m feeling social. ---

I don’t know if it’s this confusing in the mainland, but I’ve lived here all my life don’t fully understand where some of the boundries are between towns. I know most of it is based on ancient land divisions, but it’s so confusing! Interestingly, I just checked checked the zip for where I used to live, 96818 and includes Honolulu, HI, Joint Base Pearl Harbor-Hickam, HI, Halawa, HI, so I guess as far as the USPS is concerned, Pearl Harbor is part of Honolulu County. _SIGH_ So confusing. ---

Yes, it would be, as Honolulu County is basically the entire island of Oahu. But the City of Honolulu is something else altogether, covering part of only the South Shore, or even only the Southeast Shore. ---

The boundaries of ZIP codes are pretty arbitrary, and ZIP codes often cross town and county lines. Maybe state lines too. ---

I’ve lived around Dayton, Ohio for most of my life. I have never visited: The [SunWatch Indian Village](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/SunWatch_Indian_Village). The [Packard Museum](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/America%27s_Packard_Museum). [Wright-Dunbar Village](https://www.nps.gov/daav/learn/historyculture/wrightdunbarvillage.htm). I had no idea this even existed up until a few minutes ago. ---

I’ve lived in Chicago for almost 7 years. Never been to the museum of Chicago history even though I like history, I will go in January as I assume they’ll have Illinois residents days then. I’ve never been on the Navy Pier Ferris wheel either. I can’t remember the last time I’ve been on a Ferris wheel, I’ve been to London 6 times and never even considered the Eye. ---

The [Art Gallery](https://www.ngv.vic.gov.au/), the [Eureka Tower](https://www.eurekaskydeck.com.au/), and the [Melbourne Jail](https://www.oldmelbournegaol.com.au/). Because I’m not a native (even though I’ve now been here almost twenty years) I did do the touristy things in the early days of my arriving, so there’s not many commonly visited places I haven’t seen, and most more than a few times each. ---

I’ve been on the Circle Line boat, but for a party cruise that just went part of the way around the southern end of Manhattan. As for the UN I’ve been in the building 6 times, twice on the public guided tour, twice on private tours given by people working there whom I know personally, once to attend a play in the auditorium and once to just look at the gift shop and lobby. Like _ **Treppenwitz** _ I’m proud to have avoided Madame Tussaud’s; the NYC branch is just as much of a tourist trap as the London original. As for tourist attractions I haven’t seen: Top of the Rock Staten Island Ferry Tapings of TV shows (though I’d like to get to a taping of “The Late Show with Stephen Colbert”) ---

I grew up in NYC, but hadn’t visited the Statue of Liberty or gone up to the top of the Empire State Building until I was touring with Mrs. J. (an outlander). Currently, I live in a state capital but have never been to the Capitol Building or looked on the exciting (snicker) doings of the state legislature. I did visit the home James Thurber grew up in (which is a sort of mini-museum). It was fun.
