Back in my cover band days (those carefree days before disco ruled) we played it.

It has that farfisia mini-compact organ sound (imortalized now as 60’s organ on new synth keyboards)

[Ads Galore, but I don’t think anything dangerous warning]

I didn’t even need the link; I knew the answer.

There’s a crazy little shack beyond the tracks
And everybody calls it the sugar shack
Well, it’s just a coffeehouse and it’s made out of wood
Expresso coffee tastes mighty good

I was born during the Dark Years, between Big Band and Rock ‘n’ Roll – and it shows in my song:

The Song from Moulin Rouge (Where Is Your Heart) by Percy Faith

That would be the \*original \* Moulin Rouge, with Jose Ferrer as Toulouse-Lautrec.

How strange this thread came up, as I just bought a book of _Billboard_ charts from the '80s and looking this same thing up. It turns out it was a song I never heard of…_Crazy for You_ perfomed by Madonna(5/8/85). The week before that it was one I _have_ heard of- _We Are the World_ (which Madonna dropped down to number 2).

For my mother (4/30/56), it’s _Heartbreak Hotel_. It’s hard to wrap my head around that…60 years ago, Elvis was just getting started, and my mom was born. And neither Elvis nor my mother seem that old. Time is crazier than you think.
