Well, songs are usually #1 for a span of weeks. Presumably you two were just born with a week or so of one another, maybe months for some really popular songs. _Beat It_ would be a good example.

Don’t look, Ethel!

Mine was Tommy Edwards’ “It’s All In The Game” (second version, the hit one).

October 1, 1958.

:smack: My first thought was, no, the songs around it weren’t the same, but those were the songs that were #1 on my birthday during different years.

Oops.

> How strange this thread came up, as I just bought a book of _Billboard_ charts from the '80s and looking this same thing up. It turns out it was a song I never heard of…_Crazy for You_ perfomed by Madonna(5/8/85). The week before that it was one I _have_ heard of- _We Are the World_ (which Madonna dropped down to number 2).
>
> For my mother (4/30/56), it’s _Heartbreak Hotel_. It’s hard to wrap my head around that…60 years ago, Elvis was just getting started, and my mom was born. And neither Elvis nor my mother seem that old. Time is crazier than you think.

1956 was only 50 years ago. I was born in '46, and I’ll be 60.
