I’m not sure if this question is meant to be which characters would we find it most advantageous to befriend or which characters we think we actually would be good friends with if they were real people who we knew. If the latter, the two that spring most readily to mind are Pam on _The Office_ and Britta on _Community_. I don’t know that they’d be friends with each other, though! Thinking back to my younger days, Ellen from _The Adventures of Pete & Pete_ would have made a good friend for me. ---
