I can’t remember where it is exactly, but Angel and Buffy are somehow able to get to it while fleeing from the Judge and Spike and Drusilla’s cronies through the sewers. Angel neither owned nor lived above the Bronze.

Are you sure he didn’t have an upstairs place at the very, very beginning? Where Drusilla found him?

I’m not really sure where Drusilla found him, but I’m currently rewatching season 1 and after Angel first vamps out in front of Buffy, he retreats to what appears to be the same dwelling in season 2. Darla confronts him there. I was wrong about it being underground, though; Darla notes that Angel is living aboveground and opens the window to harm Angel with sunlight.

FYI, Dexter lived at:

“In real life, it’s the Bay Harbor Club condos, located at 1155 103rd Street, out on Bay Harbor Island, in Miami Beach, Florida. (On the show, Dexter lives on the second floor, and his room number is 10b.)”

“The condo consists of 24 apartments, with a heated pool, a private park, and a great view of Biscayne Bay. As of 2008, the condo units in the Bay Harbor Club were selling for around $175,000 to $325,000 (for the penthouse).”

I don’t think he would have many/any loans because if you don’t have a credit history (which most college-age people don’t) you need your parents to cosign your loans. And not only is there no way John would have cosigned, he probably would have made Sam’s application _worse_.

I can imagine John co-signing - “_“Abraham Lincoln”_ - there ya go.” 😃

Thomas Magnum, P.I., lived considerably above his income, but as long as he didn’t live above famous author Robin Masters’ income things worked out all right.

Just a quick net check shows legal secretaries can make that too (and possibly more with longevity and/or working for a senior-senior partner).

Going back through the mists of time Crockett and Tubbs in Miami Vice had a yacht and drove sportscars as I recall, while wearing designer clothes.

Perfectly understandable though as cops involved in suppressing drugs traffic they no doubt had er, " alternative "sources of revenue over and above their police salaries

**Bond… James Bond**.

Not only does the character live beyond his fiscal means, especially in the movies, but watching him on screen has sometimes made me live beyond _my_ means (particularly when purchasing wine and spirits).

I don’t know about that. From what I’ve seen, the women can only afford two-thirds of a shirt.

Re Angel’s buying the Hyperion Hotel

> [@Swallowed\_My\_Cellphone](#):

> The hotel was big time haunted so that the people who owned the property would probably have _paid_ someone to take the property off their hands. So the hotel was more or less acquired due to magic.

I always thought Angel used the sack of money Judy had stolen from her bank in [“Are you now or have you ever been”](http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Are_You_Now_or_Have_You_Ever_Been) to buy the hotel, and fund some of the second season lifestyle?

Not to mention the staircase that didn’t lead anywhere! 😉
