What TV/movie/other fictional character live most under their incomes?

I never understood why people would say stuff like that. I always thought he was way hotter than Joey.

I thought that character identified as female and wanted to be called Mom.

IIRC correctly, Chandler always called him Dad and introduced him as Charles.

That doesn’t really mean anything, though. I’ve Googled a little, but can’t find a definitive answer - maybe a hardcore Friends fan will come along and let us know.

The characters on “Grey’s Anatomy.” Let’s see, McDreamy either shacks up with his girlfriend, who inherited her house from her mom and runs it like a flop house, or he’s living in his trailer. Not very impressive for a world-famous neurosurgeon.

McSteamy, who should be raking in the dough as a plastic surgeon, lived in an apartment, and we’re not talking Frasier Crane type apartments.

I think that Alan Harper is just really, really, really cheap. The marriage to Kandi was short and would not have had long spousal support. Yeah, he pays child support, but Judith never spills the beans on how much it is and they had a really nice house. Alan is really cheap with himself and everyone around him. I suspect that he has saved a pretty penny.

How about Homer Simpson. I’d imagine that in really life a nuclear safety technician would make some good coin. Yet his family has never seemed to be anything more than lower middle class.

Early seasons Chandler is definitely better looking than Joey. Joey probably comes off as more attractive because he’s a lot more confident.

Homer is not always the most… responsible consumer.

John Carter on ER was part of an extremely wealthy family, but I believe he chose to live solely off his hospital salary. I quit watching ER after season 6, I think, so I’m not sure if that changed.

Bart’s hobbies (vandalism, anarachy, arson, overthrowing Western Civilization, etc) tend to be a wee tad pricey.

John went back and forth. In the earliest seasons I think he used family money but didn’t flaunt it. When he left the surgery department and had to repeat his internship, he agreed to work at the hospital for free, only to be cut off by his grandmother; I think he had a very hungry year. By the time he was with off fulfilling the White Man’s Burden in Africa he had access to the family millions but still didn’t flaunt it, and he had to be pressured into taking control of the family foundation after his grandmother died.

Oliver and Lisa Douglas. New York Lawyer living in a dilapidated old farmhouse.
