The first theme from the original Outer Limits, by Dominic Frontiere. The first Twilight Zone theme by Bernard Herrman. The Virginian Gunsmoke The FBI …and getting out of the '60s, Stat Trek–TNG and Voyager. Yes, Hill Street Blues and Rockford Files–in fact, just about anything by Mike Post. ---

I have to agree with a lot of the ones listed already. Another favourite is the theme to \*\*Mr Show with Bob & David \*\*. Then again I like everything about that show. ---

Gene Roddenberry’s Earth: Final Conflict has a neat theme song. Should be enjoyable to all those cello fetishists. ---

Perhaps very few people will recall a Steve Bochco flop series called ‘Murder One’, which tanked in the US and fared marginally better over here in the UK. Anyways, the opening titles and music were the best I’ve ever seen, for any TV show, and all the incidental music was also excellent. Otherwise: Mission Impossible Hill Street Blues Most of the Gerry Anderson stuff had good music - Joe 90, Thunderbirds etc. Dr. Who (original Radiophonic Workshop version) And for all UK Dopers, who could possibly leave out the theme to The Wombles? A tune which anyone who ever heard it once will be able to remember till they draw their dying breath. ---
