OK…I guess I’ll be the first to admit my strange fascination with the _ABC Family Channel/BBC_ program: **S Club 7**. What red-blooded man can pass up a show feature several hot young teenage girls running around in skimpy outfits!?! Not to mention their cute l’il _accents!_ Oh, and the guy who played Greg Brady is a reoccurring character–_what more do you need_? ---

Oh, and when I’m in Australia, anything featuring Steve Irwin. My family and I end up ROFL. I saw him on Jay Leno the other day, when he brought on two joeys (one of them albino), a cobra and an alligator. It was pretty funny, especially when all these women in the audience started yelling “We love you Steve!”. Gotta love you Merkans! ---

Clueless (the TV show, not me) It has the cutest (actually 30 year-old) high school female in the world (Stacey Dash). And the writing is pretty sharp: “Well that whole thing went to pot faster than Woody Harrelson at Reggae Fest.” Teletubbies I have to avoid this show like the plague. See, I did a lot of non-prescription personal additives in the 70’s and 80’s and Teletubbies makes me trip out. I stare at the screen completely entranced until the show is over. I just can’t help it. ---

I’m hopelessly addicted to **Survivor.** I also love **CSI**. Now before you get all defensive and tell me that it’s a riveting show with some merit, let me admit that the _only_ reason I watch this show is for Hunky Guy. I don’t even know the character’s name on the show (actor’s name is George Eads) but he is a beautiful specimen. Could I _get_ any shallower? ---

I’m with ya all the way, **whistlepeg**. That Stacy Dash rocks. I happened to catch an episode where they had her in a hot tub with her friends ::wrroowrrrr:: I had no clue she was 30 though, amazing. And the teletubbies? Hey, what can I say, I attribute my fascination with that show to years of drug experimentation too. There’s just something about it… so… a… where was I? I hate to admit that I watched a full half-hour of a Monster truck free-for-all yesterday. It got so bad that I eventually found myself yelling at the television over their poor scoring methodology. I mean, come on, three beer guzzling schmoes in the stands decide who takes the trophy? Bah!! The one I’m really ashamed of lately happened only a week or so ago. I was surfing the channels and spotted a promo for 7th heaven that had the drop dead gorgeous Katie Holmes getting possessed by a plant and then going out and getting all trampy with the guys from her school. One scene, from the promo, had her all decked out in a red bikini, ala Pheobe Cates from Fast Times At Ridgemont High. Oh my. It was so bad I even marked it down in my day planner so I wouldn’t miss it. I hate to admit it, but that’s the first time a promo ever worked on me the way the producers wanted it to- I was here, I was ready, and I was transfixed on the tube for an hour on a show I’d never seen before. ---

Bad Astronomer, you just keep getting cooler and cooler 🙂 My co-workers try to make me feel ashamed for watching so much Cartoon Network. I don’t care. They think I’m especially weird for liking the anime. Oh well. I refuse to be embarrassed to admit I sit up late Saturday nights watching “adult swim.” I just wish CN didn’t edit the cartoons so bad–they run the “adult swim” disclaimer saying the programs are intended for audiences over the age of 18 and may contain coarse language, violence, etc., then show the Y7 or TVPG version of everything (except Cowboy Bebop). And lamenting this makes me weirder still. Feh. Cartoons are cool. ---

I can’t help it. I enjoy watching Gilmore Girls. - Its sappy - Obviously has only one writer because all the characters talk in exactly the same manner On the other hand… - Current cultural phenomenon are unabashadly ridiculed - Sometimes, albeit uncommonly, the show actually means something Still, the most embarrasing factor has to be that I am a 20 year old male enjoying a show that revolves about a young single mom and her daughter. Is my self deceptional (it doesn’t fool women) manly persona in jeaprody? Can I ever enjoy football or hockey again?? HELP!!! ---

I looove the car chase shows, Worlds Worst Drivers, Stupidest Criminals, etc. I also love When Animals Attack, and Cops, anything with “real life” footage. If those things were on a marathon, I’d never get off the couch. They only went over the line once, by combining the Drivers and Animals shows into a frightening display called When Vehicles Attack. It was basically the WWDrivers show with commentary pretending that it was the _car_ that caused the accident, weird… ---

Maybe with people who can ACT delivering that crappy dialog, but since William “Tin Woodsman” Peterson one of the producers that ain’t gonna happen. Gee, I always thought I watched it for Marg Helgenberger. I even remarked at the start of this season, “That was an excellent facelift.” But whatever the reason, I watch it religiously. Then I watch _The Agency_ without apologies. ---

Ashamed? Well, gee, i don’t know. A show I do NOT talk about to anyone is _Bear in the Big Blue House_. If you have never heard it, it is about a bear, who lives in a big blue house wih his friends and a smaller bear whose relation to the big bear is not really made clear (My ex was convinced the smaller bear was the big bear’s bitch, but then again, she was really wierd.) But I don’t care! The otter twins kick ass, and I like them a lot! Hey Hey Hey - A Japanese game show. It is funny as hell. Trading Spaces - what fun to watch professional designers destroy a room of someones house for their own amusemnt and then watch the owners repair everything at their expense. Beautiful. I’m right there with you about _Bear in the Big Blue House_ – Bear is absolutely adorable, and I love it when he sings the goodbye song with Luna. (Who is voiced by the woman who played the commander on another former kids’ show guilty pleasure, Carmen Sandiego.) I will also admit to watching _Blue’s Clues_ from time to time. I tell myself that I’m just preparing for the early childhood of the upcoming baby tlw. My other main guilty pleasure is the granddaddy of reality television, _The Real World_. I’ve watched every episode of all but the second NYC season (the kids just annoyed me too much) and I’ve also found myself pulled in to the _Real World/Road Rules All-Star Challenge_ that’s been airing. It’s frightening how much I can enjoy that stuff. ---

I used to watch a lot of Digimon, back when I wasn’t working. The Smurfs are now on Cartoon Network, and as much as I hate them I cannot stop watching once I discover them on. I cheer Gargamel on, even though I know it’s futile. I love Grounded For Life. Donal Logue is the shizznat, and I love that this character can be seen as a kind of carryover of The Tao of Steve. Kevin Corrigan is great, too. I am an unabashed 90210 fan. I may even have cried during the David&Donna wedding. Charmed is awesome. ---

Beautiful.** Mrs. CaptMurdock has sucked me into _Trading Spaces_. It’s alright, but I’ve admitted to having a bit of a crush on Genevieve, the blond, bouncy designer who never wears shoes. She’s yummy. 😃 _The Real World_ started to lose interest for me when it became obvious that the producers were intentionally casting towards conflict. After the fourth season (London, my favorite) the producers wanted to make sure that never again would they be stuck with seven people who got along.
