My very first pointless topic! Yea for me! ## Seriously folks, what shows do you miss, or wish hadn’t been canceled by number-crunching TV execs? I am curious, because it seems ever new show I like, with one or two exceptions has already bitten the dust this season! “The universe doesn’t give first warnings or second chances” ---

I miss Camp Runamuck. [I \*believe\* the Prisoner ran its limited course, rather than was “canceled.” I think Patrick McGoohan would have preferred that the series be about half as long as it was, as he considered many of the episodes to be padding. If I remember right.] ---

Barney Miller – yes, I know it faded in its last two years, but assuming these shows would be as they were at their best The Bob Newhart Show – the first one, of course Roseanne – when it was good, it was the best show on TV Hill Street Blues The Highlander Catrandom ---

Max Headroom (the drama, not the interview show) – still the first (and best) cyberpunk TV show. Soap – still one of the most consistently funny shows around. * * * Shared pain is lessened; shared joy is increased. ---

Earth 2 - if you haven’t seen it check out the reruns on Sci-Fi. Had the potential to be one of the best sci-fi shows ever, but died an early death. ---

Beans Baxter. Or at least I wish they’d filmed a final episode instead of dissapearing. And a 2nd for Herman’s head. I love a show called United States. It starred Helen Shaver and Martin Mull. No background music,no laugh tracks,just a couple going through daily life. It was great! ---

But all of these shows ARE on TV! Syndication, baby!!
