I’m supprised no one has mentioned “The Outer Limits”. Pretty good special effects for its day, and the writing was innovative. ---

If I listed all the shows I wish were still in production, I’d post as long as **Phaedrus** does over at the “Flat Earth” thread. I watch _way_ too much TV. Short list: _DS9_ _The New Batman-Superman Adventures_ (They’re still making _Batman Beyond_, but it ain’t the same.) _Crusade_ _The Avengers_ (_not_ Marvel Comics) _Hill Street Blues_ _All in the Family_ _The John Larroquette Show_ _Night Court_ (Did you see the one where Bull wore a toupee called “The Shatner Turbo 2000”?) _Monday Night Football_ with Frank, Don and Howard. (Boomer Esiason is _clueless_. Al Michaels is almost working on his own.) And that’s my _short_ list. * * * Fighting my own ignorance since 1957. ---

Personally, these are mine (in no particular order): The Tick-come on…it has to be at the top, even if my list isn’t rated…SPOON!! The Critic–Comedy Central is winning with even these re-runs Night Court–This show was always a favorite of mine Ren & Stimpy–I find it insulting to not see this show mentioned yet. I mean…Powdered Toast Man…Log…come on! Married, With Children–This goes without saying Coach–I don’t know about everybody else, but I actually liked that show. Most of the others just slipped my mind, or they have already been ovementioned. * * * People are stupid. That’s all that ever needs to be said. ---

Andrea- the wacky racers 🙂 Whew!!! was gettin real worried about Family Guy for a while. Love that show! lets see… Homicide ( they just started filming a movie - yea!!! poetic justice- the show that replaced Homicide was cancelled after never getting ratings as high as the lowest rated Homicide last season. Here’s a few that I don’t think have been mentioned, and are really good. Combat!-A very old TV show that was on in reruns late at night for my entire high school years and I watched it religiously starring Vic Marrow. Dark Skies-A one season Sci-Fi X-files clone on NBC satuday nights that originally led in The Pretender. Good characters, and a interesting plotline. Dream On-The HBO series with Brian Benben. A funny show with the ideal sprinkling of sex, nudity, and swearing that were less gratuitous than usual. It opens up so much more comedy than the bland network sitcom. The Howard Stern Show-The old channel 66 version with the lesbian dating game, and homeless hollywood squares. ---

according to the Henson newsgroup, Odyssey is editing “The Muppet Show” and other Muppet shows really badly, so don’t get your hopes up. I wish Henson were still alive and the original Muppet show could keep on running. Why the hell couldn’t he pay better attention to his health? I wish “Sam and Friends”, Henson’s **original** original show, was still on so I could see it for the first time! (I never saw it. I’ll just have to take a trip to NY to the TV and Broadcast Museum to see the few shows they have there.) Ditto for “It’s Time for Beany”. This was the live puppet show which pre-dated the cartoon “Beany and Cecil” show. Stan Freberg was involved and the humor was very incredible. It’s reported Einstein once left a meeting at Caltech saying “Gentlemen, please excuse me.
