If you could be a number, what kind of number would you _want_ to be? Some of the categories might be overlapping, for example a rational number could also be a real number. So choose carefully. I once played on a softball team and we got to choose our own numbers (though of course, none could repeat one that was already used). My first choices were rejected—sqrt 2, pi, i. I finally ended up with the number 00. “That way, when I run on the field people will point and say ooooh!” I wonder, though, what kind of number 00 is. Besides appearing on a roulette wheel, is there a need or use for 00 (instead of simply 0)? ---

I will pick _even number_ without thinking. Even numbers have always given me the feeling of wholeness and being together. My car license plate, phone number, address details, and many other things I was able to decide on include (almost) only even numbers. ---

I did manage to get pi for my softball number. Working for a company called Mathematical Applications Group Inc. at the time made it relatively easy. I had two shirts, still have one somewhere. ---
