What type of refrigerator do you have?

Forgot to mention, the one in the garage actually has a third door, built into the main fridge door, so you can get stuff out of one shelf in the door without opening the entire fridge. The little door, when opened, makes a little shelf. So you can keep drinks in the door and poor them and stuff without opening the whole fridge.

We got a side-by-side now, as mom always wanted an ice maker. But our kitchen was built for the stacked variety, with a wall on the left side. As a consequence, we can’t open the freezer door quite 90 degrees, and often have to rotate items to get them in around the door shelves, rotating them back in the freezer proper. It feels like we’re playing Tetris.

Bottom freezer.

As an apartment dweller, I have whatever the owner put in. This is invariably a top-freezer model, which is what I favor anyway. When I lived in smaller, shittier apartments, I often had a half-height model with the freezer box inside — truly the cràp de la cràp of refrigerators.

Mine is closest to a 2-door french with the freezer on the bottom (pull out drawer type freezer), but it has an additional refrigerator drawer under the main fridge and above the freezer that is perfect for snacks & beverages. We we can pull out the drawer and avoid opening the fridge all the time.

Side-by-Side. Wife wanted it because she disliked the lack of space in the top freezer style we used to have.

Took a little doing to find a side-by-side without an icemaker/water dispenser since we had no need/want for one and it just takes up freezer space.
