I always heard it that the Flintstones took place down on the bombed-out remains of the earth, while the Jetsons were in the floating cities above, consisting of people rich enough to escape… ---

No it was past history. If you recall when the Flintsones and Rubbles took a trip out west, they stopped by the Grand Canyon. It was just a small stream, that Fred could’ve stepped across. One of them says, “So this is the Grand Canyon, it ain’t much.” Then Fred says, “Not now, but just wait a few million years.” ---

My sister just said a peacock. And, yes, something must have filled it up–or else it wouldn’t have already been called the Grand Canyon. Still, I think their history is cyclical. ---
