Fast Times. Not mainly the Phoebe Cates scene, either (though it didn’t hurt). The pool house scene. I’m surprised I didn’t wear out the tape how many times I rewound that over and over.

My mother was a huge Paul Newman fan and took my brother and I to the drive-in to see “Cool Hand Luke.” I was about eight. The car wash scene was quite a thing for my young eyes. When those tits started bouncing against the window, I looked at my brother, who was sound asleep. When it came on tv, he was all psyched to see the scene he had missed. We watched it intently only to find the scene was edited out. It was years later before he ever saw the scene, but by then, it was mild compared to the other things we had seen over the years.

_A Summer Place_ with Sandra Dee, 1959. Damn, what a little cream puff she was! I fell for her hard and was only 10 or 11 at the time. I’d already known about sex for a year or two thanks to my father having brought home some books on sex and reproduction from the library a year or two before, so I understood about the more adult elements at work in the film. But I digress.

There was a scene where Sandra Dee’s evil mother forced her to undergo a physical exam by an elderly male doctor to determine whether she was still a virgin. Dee’s character (still virginal) was almost in hysterics trying to avoid the exam but was ultimately forced to submit. I wanted to kill that bitch mother of hers! Later on, when Troy Donohue’s character finally persuaded her to give up her virginity and they did the deed (off screen of course) I wanted to kill _him_! 😃

I bought the 45 of the theme song and played it so much my younger brother hates it to this day.

[Here’s a clip.](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=a10aowRXWA0) It doesn’t show either of the scenes I described but it does demonstrate how adorable Sandra Dee was, especially to a 10 or 11-year-old boy who thought she was womanhood personified at the time.

It’s a toss-up between Gone With the Wind (the drunken Rhett scene) and Dirty Dancing, both of which I saw around 1988, aged 10. Special mention to watching Saturday Night Fever (heavily edited for tv, but still) around that time. I was always more book-oriented, however, if you catch my drift.

As a teenage chess player, it was doubly exciting to watch Faye Dunaway being seductive over a game of chess in The Thomas Crown Affair.

However, when I watched “The Golden Voyage of Sinbad” (after I’d seen enough hardcore imagery to put mainstream sexy in perspective) and the old man introduces Caroline Munro, saying “She’s just a useless slavegirl” I looked at her and thought, “Dude! I can think of a LOT of uses for her. Some of them quite imaginative!” Funny how powerful an impression she seems to have made.

Really, who the fuck takes an 8-year-old to see a 4 hour biblical epic?

Sorry, just alleviating frustration. God doesn’t really give me a hard-on.

Uhhh, Kentucky Fried Movie.

[Oliver Reed as Bill Sykes](http://rymimg.com/lk/f/a/78851ee899e8915d3d110558acc80580/1033057.jpg) in the movie version of _Oliver!_ I was around ten or so. I couldn’t have explained it then, but there was something about him I had never seen in anyone else. I’m not sure if _horny_ is the word for what I felt–maybe a better description is sex appeal. I just remember feeling a total-body “WOW!”.
