> Back in 1975, Columbia was supposedly wondering how to promote Springsteen. The East Coast critics were creaming their jeans over him but–would he play in Peoria? The local Columbia rep suggested they send him to Houston, it being even more un-Yankeelike than Peoria. So he & his band came down on the train & played Liberty Hall.
