An extremely unmemorable book called _The Bookman’s Wake_ by John Dunning. All I remember about it is that it was disappointing. Bought in March, 1998. (WTF was I doing buying books on Amazon when I was a broke college student?!) ---

On January 3, 1997, I ordered [The Comic Book Heroes: The First History of Modern Comic Books - From the Silver Age to the Present](http://www.amazon.com/Comic-Book-Heroes-History-Present/dp/0761503935/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&s=books&qid=1231206733&sr=8-2). I’m no longer a comic geek, but I still have the book and remember it being a fun read. I looked through the other years and, surprisingly to me, I’ve ordered only about 10 items from Amazon since then. I would have suspected the number was three or four times that. ---
