I realized that it’s not nudity but Alice Eve as Dr. Carol Marcus in _Star Trek Into Darkness_ stripping down to her underwear in front of Kirk was completely unnecessary. ---

After posting this in the wrong thread, I’ll try again: I’ve always thought Sigourney Weaver stripping down to her underwear in Alien was a little unneeded. Not that it wasn’t a great scene and she looked hot, but she could have kept a jump suit on or something. ---

There is this crazy vampire movie– **Innocent Blood** –where Anne Parillaud walks around totes nude in a couple of scenes and it doesn’t really have much to do with the plot. Fortunately, Don Rickles and Robert Loggia do not. ---

[The Burning Plain](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Burning_Plain), a film starring Charlize Theron, Kim Basinger and Jennifer Lawrence has a longish scene very early on, I think about 5 mins in, of Charlize T nude, staring out a window and wandering around her bedroom. The only relevance to the plot is that it established that she is, in fact, female. Otherwise it serves no purpose, and its not like we were short of screen-grabs of her breasts. ---

“Zardoz” has a whole lot of unwelcome Sean Connery ass goin on, and I’m _pretty sure_ not for intentional comic effect. Thankfully he’s on a horse a lot of the time, but yeah, still looks gross, even then. Jeremy Irons in the showers in “Brideshead Revisted”. I don’t think seeing his dork in the showers was 100% necessary. Sure, it was on PBS, so I guess they were trying to be progressive in showing dick. The most _squeamish_ sight of nudity was the rape scene in “Frenzy”. (Interesting, though, to see a shot of her breast getting covered up again, so I suppose some credit goes to Hitch, then, for that little element of dignity, there.) ---

Yes, it’s when Ripley has blown up the Nostromo and escaped in the shuttle, and is getting ready to go into hibernation. About 5 minutes from the end. There’s also a scene at the beginning of the movie when the crew is first waking up from hibernation, and are in their underwear, but they only show John Hurt, Yaphet Kotto, and Ian Holm in that scene. But it’s clearly established that you go into hibernation in your skivvies. ---

There’s a scene like that in the Paul Newman film “Nobody’s Fool.” Haven’t seen it in a long time, but I recall a scene in which Melanie Griffith is losing at strip poker and Pruitt Taylor Vince, who plays Newman’s mentally challenged buddy, can’t stop looking at her tits. Don’t get me wrong: I’ve always liked tits, and I saw the film when it was released (back when I liked tits even more, haha), but even then it struck me as a pointless scene.
