# What was the name of this early 1990s computer company?

In the early 1990s, I remember there was another mail order computer company similar to Dell and Gateway. They had similar multipage ads in the major computer magazines.
I know that’s not a lot to go one. I seem to think the company started with an X or a Z, but I’m not sure.
I remember seeing their ads in the summer of 1992.

I’m thinking of one of the IBM PC clone makers. It was, I believe, Zenon Computers. Mayb have been Xenon, but I think it started with a Z.
My first thought was Northgate, the makers of those super-wonderful keyboards who also, I think, did IBM compatibles. But starting with something like an X or Z leaves them out.
I didn’t see Xenon in the list that **BaneSidhe** kindly linked to, but I could be misremembering those days, so don’t rely too much on my guess.

Oh, well.
That’s what I get for trying to revive dead memory cells. I remember back in the day when Mr. Babbage was telling me how he was afraid that everyone was gonna copy his difference engine after he got it into production and there’d be so many different names that no one would be able to remember which was which.
