And this “thrusts his penis halfway — or completely, I’m not certain — inside me.” I think lends a verisimilitude of truth to her accusation. Since we have (unfortunately) been apprised to how little of a prick he has. I just wish more New York, New York people would have spoken up as to how big of a prick he had been and is _before_ he was elected. Plus all the people affected by him in other states and countries.

But I get it since his modus operandi is to overwhelm one telling the truth via expensive court battles.

Which is how he has presidented since elected.

Lol. You think her working a dick-size joke/insult into a rape accusation lends it authenticity.

Agreed - I said something very similar in post 95. 😉

>
> Normal braggards brag that they can get any woman that they want to fall for them, with their looks, charm, manliness, muscles, whatever. Trump didn’t do that. He explicitly bragged that what his “star” status gets him isn’t their love - it’s their _compliance_. When he rapes them. Tellingly his rapeyness is presented less like an awesome thing and more like his mushroom taking control and overriding his shriveled brain - he “just starts kissing” women, it’s literally out of his control. And then he states he gets away with it - not that he _could_ get away with it, but that he _does_ get away with it, because that’s what happens “when you’re a star”. He then (without prompting) expands the set of things he gets away with to “anything” - and then _with_ prompting chooses of his own will to clarify that “anything” includes grabbing 'em by the pussy.

Technically, he doesn’t say he does these things. He says YOU can do these things, and they’ll let you, because you’re a star. Agreed, there’s not a hell of a lot of difference, and he probably speaks that way because he’s no grammar pro.

If it was grabbing boobs, he’d talk about them like big bags of sand like in the Forty Year old Virgin. I think he actually DOES harass women but more because he’s trying to spread gossip about himself as a womanizer. All the pageant dressing room creeping around, it’s fucking obvious he wants to be seen doing it.

Either way, it’s totally inappropriate conduct for the President of the United States or anyone who’s thinking of becoming that.

I think something else worth considering is whether or not Trump was aware he was being recorded at the time of the Billy Bush conversation/interview.

I think you’re being incredibly generous about a comment that violates what used to be the moral standards of the GOP. This is what disturbs me most about GOP support of Trump, the hand-waving about issues that until 2016, would have been anathema to any GOP candidate. Pre-Trump:

\*Cheated on his wife? That’s terrible! We’d never vote for someone who has such low morals!

Sexually assaulted women and bragged about it? Horrible! A US President should be above that sort of thing.

Dissed American servicemen who were POWs? Shame on him! He’ll never get our vote!\*

Before someone says, “Yeah, but the Dems supported Clinton when he did those things,” let’s agree that doesn’t make it right. The GOP clearly opposed all those things in someone running for office until someone they liked for other reasons did those things. I counted on conservatives to stick to their moral principles, whether the Dems did or not, not constantly excuse behaviors that violated those principles. That the GOP abandoned them so easily, even eagerly, says they were no longer principles but matters of convenience. Even those who acknowledge Trump was wrong about those things were willing to wave them away. It’s deeply disturbing.

Perhaps someone who recognizes that some people have moral principle they stand by will provide a more substantive answer.

What do you mean it’s not official record? It was recorded on film and the interviewer lost his job over it. Trump isn’t sorry about anything because he considers it a sign of weakness. He chooses instead to deny, deny, deny.

That Feinstein guy isn’t our president. He’s also not exactly famous for being a democrat. So what if he’s friends with the Clintons? If one of my friends acted like Weinstein, he’d no longer be my friend, and it wouldn’t have anything to do with fucking politics.

Really, when you excuse your favorite politician’s actions with “everybody else does it,” you’re admitting they’re guilty and deserve as much public whipping as “everybody else.” Are you sure you want to go there?

Ok, let me ask you a question. Suppose Hillary had done something you really hated. Would that have made you vote for Trump?

Well its the same. I didnt agree with Trump on alot of things either and yes I still had my morals. However Hillary sucked so bad I didnt have much choice. Dont forget the Clintons and Trumps were friends which sort of makes it a de facto endorsement. Hillary was also friends with Weinsten. Hillary also stood by while Bill molested several women.

So if anything your morals should have been just as strong and stopped your vote for Hillary.

Oh, they werent? You voted for her like a good loyal democrat?

So we are about the same.

Would you? Would you really turn off a “friend” if you were a politician and he was given you and your friends lots of money AND his bad things were not known to the general public even if YOU knew it?

I didnt say “Everybody does it”. I’m saying democrats ignore alot of things as long as that person gives them money. Weinstein wasnt running for president but he did give the dems alot of money and as we all know, money talks.

What about now? Do you still support Trump now over people who have not bragged about sexual assault and violating women’s consent, and have not been credibly accused of rape and sexual assault by over 20 women?

If so, IMO that says something about how you view women and the issue of fighting sexual assault/rape.

Dont forget the Clintons and Trumps were friends which sort of makes it a de facto endorsement. Hillary was also friends with Weinsten. Hillary also stood by while Bill molested several women.

Jesus.

So Hillary’s problem is that she had an acquaintance who was a sexual predator? And Trump’s problem is that he’s a sexual predator? And both these things are about the same?

What the fuck, dude?

Is that what they teach you in your church?

In your knee-jerk reaction, you’ve misread most of my thread, but no, it would not have made me vote for Trump. I would have done a write-in vote. Why do you think there were only two choices? Had I felt good enough about either of the third-party candidates, I would have voted for one of them. You had the same options.

I am not a Democrat. I’m an independent. Again, you’re assuming only two choices.

In your agitation over my pointing out the abandonment of moral principles by GOP voters, you missed the part where I pointed out Dems had dismissed moral concerns over Bill Clinton. That was wrong, and it should have served as an object lesson to the GOP. Remember the moral outrage in the GOP? What happened to that?

The “Hillary was worse” argument is irrelevant. If you voted for Trump, you dismissed a number of those moral precepts. If you’re thinking “Hillary would have won then!” you might well be right, but you’d still have those moral precepts. See? They were therefore not that important to you. I hope you and all the others can reclaim them. The country needs this.
