# What was wrong with my boyfriend's wrist?

Almost two weeks ago, my boyfriend hit a golf swing really wrong, into the mud, and sprained (he thought) his wrist. Then he managed to screw it up even more on a PA job that weekend, and jumping over a couch a few days ago. He’s been keeping an Ace bandage on it and recently started wearing a brace, but it just kept hurting and hurting and hurting.

Anyway, just now he turned it somehow and it popped, and now he’s pain free. He says it doesn’t feel totally healed, but it doesn’t ache anymore and he thinks he’d be able to open a door and stuff, like he couldn’t for ages. Could something have been misaligned all this time? Was it maybe fluid like when you pop your knuckles? Inquiring minds want to know.

IANAD, but sounds like a dislocated wrist and in my experience injuries like this are more likely to reoccur once they happen once or twice.
