Which would be fine, except the Hillwood area was so named because it was previously owned by the Hill family (of H.G. Hills grocery fame). So if the Hill being topped is a person… In middle school we had an Owl. That wouldn’t necessarily be lame, but it looked like the Tootsie Roll Mr Owl… only in bright gay-pride purple. ---

My high school was The Rockets. School colors: Red and Gray The Rah-Rahs\* changed the colors in the chants to “Red and White, Fight, Fight” since, you know, white rhymes better than Gray. The varsity jackets were red with gray leather sleeves. My senior year the basketball team made it to the state finals in our class. We lost, badly, to a team from near Philadelphia. How a team from there was in our class I’ll never know. We were **small**. There were about 105 people in my class, and we were the biggest class for the 4 years before we graduated. \*Cheerleaders. Bitter, no, I’m not bitter that they paid no attention to nerdy little me. 🙂 ---
