My husband celebrated our first snow together, as a married couple by suprising me with a Snow Pooping Kitty in my flower box. It’s tail was lifted up and there was a pile of snow turds underneath.

Made a 4 foot tall snow cat. filled a spray bottle with water & orange food color and ‘painted’ tabby stripes on him.
A few years later in college a friend and I made a 35 foor long, 2 foot high snow lizzard out in front of the dorm and colored it green with a long red tongue.
There was a blizzard 2 days later that covered it up for a month.

My cousin made a 5 foot replica of the bust of Beethoven (or maybe it was Mozart, this was 25 years ago) in my front yard. Lasted a good 2 weeks before being buried in a snowstorm.

When I was little, Mom made a life-size “Snoopy Lying Atop His Doghouse” sculpture.
All I ever made was a tunnel.

A friend of mine claims to have made a scaled-down Minas Tirith. I believe him; with enough snow and enough helping hands, a four-tiered walled snow mountain probably isn’t that difficult.

We made a tunnel to a cave on year along the driveway. It was long and big enough for 3 school age kids to fit in it.
It took forever to melt.

When we were kids my friends and I made a snow house with a “solarium”, with sheets of ice for the glass.
It was wicked cool.

When I lived in Rochester New York, a snow sculpture contest was held on the grounds of the George Eastman House. We make a scuplture of a man, laying on the ground, then kicked a smallish hole in his chest and, using twigs, wrote "my work is done\*.
Looking back, I have to admit it was a tad…tasteless.
\*Supposedly the contents the suicide note of George Eastman, founder of Kodak, who shot himself in the chest.

I know that. His had four; hence ‘scaled-down’. It also did not have any actual buildings, as it was made out of snow. :rolleyes:

I made a ten foot long “snow guitar” one year. It was about a foot high off the ground, so you were looking at is like it was laying down. I used icicles for the tuners and strings. I made sure to include all the details, such as the volume and pickup knobs, bridge, nut, and even a whammy bar. It was damn cool.

My freshman year of college, there was a winterfest of some sort (for all I know they still have it) in which, among other things, the dorms (excuse me, residence halls :rolleyes: ) were to compete in a snow sculpture contest. Somehow I ended up on our [del]dorm’s[/del] hall’s sculpture crew. The theme was comics, so we decided to do Marvin (you know, the baby?) because we thought he would be easy to sculpt.
Wrong. He looked more like Marvin the Hutt. I think we came in last.
