Before the Great Crash, when I was Desert\_Larry, someone mentioned the Pit in a debate on religion, and I thought he was threatening me with Hell and said so indignantly. I was a new Doper at the time, and hadn’t visited the Barbecue Pit yet. When it was explained to me that the Pit was a forum I wanted to crawl under a cyber rug! ---

When we had the second Boston DopeFest at the Hilltop, I went and was looking for the party. It didn’t hit me until I said it that asking “where are the Dopers?” didn’t convey the right impression. The kicker is that I had the wrong night. There _weren’y_ any Dopers there. At least not denizens of this Board. ---

Not really embarassing, but I found the SDMB by Googling “Andygirl” since that’s my username on several other messageboards. Then I came on here and there was a bit of a saga about whether I could go by Andygrrl or not, obviously I couldn’t. Funny, though, I rarely ever see the other Andygirl. haha. I guess we stay in different threads. ---
