What was your reaction to the JFK movie?

Well, you know who replaced him in the position? Guy named Joe Connick.

Better known as Harry Connick Sr.

It is a brilliant film as long as you accept it exists in another reality.

Top notch performances from an ensemble of some weight. Even the throwaway Kevin Bacon appearance lives long in the memory. Technically and structurally it is Stone’s best work and the Oscars were well deserved.

I’m from the UK and so don’t have so much emotion invested in the event itself so maybe it is easy for me to see the movie as an entertaining fiction. I don’t care that it takes horrendous liberties with the truth. I understand entirely why a fair section of the USA population have much more of a problem.

To be honest, if it were about a *fictional * presidential assassination I think it would be seen as the classic that I think it is.

Be fair. The Vietnam War* happened*.

Was entertained by the movie, and still try working in an occasional “you’re a handsome man” reference now and then.
