Of all the possible subjects to touch upon in this universe of ours, mine went as follows: _I’ve heard it said that eating red licorice can kill you… Is there any truth to that?_ (or words to that effect) Needless to say it died a quick, merciful death. How about you? ---

I can’t remember what the actual thread was called but it was asking about ‘What did you want to be when you grow up?..and did you follow that dream?’. It was very successful, and went on for about 4 pages. ---

My first thread was a comment on this Staff Report: [What does “Kyrie Eleison” mean?](http://www.straightdope.com/columns/read/1506/what-does-kyrie-eleison-mean) I pointed out that the Kyrie is not restricted to the Roman Catholic liturgy but is also used in Anglican and Orthodox liturgy. Generated several responses, from **Songbird** (the author of the report), **Polycarp** , and others. However, it seems to have disappeared in one of the many upgrades over the past ten years. ---
