# What ways do we have to repel an alien invasion?

It _is_ probably possible to construct a science fiction scenario in which we might have a slim chance, say a slower than light generation ship arriving in system expecting and equipped for an unoccupied planet.

But yeah in your traditional Hollywood “massive invading alien fleet” scenario we’d be utterly fucked, massively superior technology coming from the up side of a gravity well is not the kind of advantage that you could overcome.
