Wait, let me get this straight. Someone “outs” Cecil as being Ed, and the response is that the interviewer got Ed drunk and therefore anything he said can’t be taken as gospel? Gotta love all-purpose alibis like that, huh? 😉 ---

I don’t have the time but someone should try to do some genealogy on Cecil Adams and Ed Zotti to see what they can come up with 0.o ---

Well, you asked for genealogy… Ed Zotti once mentioned in an interview (its available online, at [http://www.annonline.com/interviews/990325/biography.html](http://www.annonline.com/interviews/990325/biography.html) ) that his father was a trainer of homing pigeons, one of the few people left in “that obscure hobby,” as he puts it. There is a Ray Zotti, who runs the Southside Concourse Homing Pigeon Club in Oak Park, IL. My guess is that’s pops. B. ---

In addition… in THIS Straight Dope article: [http://www.straightdope.com/classics/a1\_016.html](http://www.straightdope.com/classics/a1_016.html) CECIL ADAMS says that HIS father raised homing pigeons. No note saying that it was Ed’s. If you listen to Ed’s interview on [Annonline.com](http://Annonline.com), he states rather conclusively that Cecil asked him to ask his own father. This proves, rather conclusively, that Ed Zotti and Cecil Adams are one and the same person. (And the little lurker shall lead them.) B. ---
