**CalMeacham** , you forgot [Yor, the Hunter from the Future](http://us.imdb.com/Title?0084935). A visit to IMDb jogged my memory and I had a vivid flashback of 90 minutes of the **worst** movie of all time (that my friends forced me to watch, so don’t go dissing me!)

And don’t anybody start arguing with me, this is the **worst** movie of all time. Fortunately, most of it has been erased from my memory.

Oh-oh, Arnie’s going to get us started on a Worst Movie thread. If so, I nominate: Under The Cherry Moon.

**Eve** ,

You’ll get no arguments from me about 1932 (I always thought 1939 a bit overrated–plenty of “classics”, but mostly titles people know rather than all truly great movies).

**However** , I can’t believe you missed 4 of the 5 Best films from 1932:

Lubitsch’s _Trouble in Paradise_
Ozu’s _I Was Born, but…_
Dreyer’s _Vampyr_
Browning’s _Freaks_

(the 5th of course being Mamoulian’s wonderful _Love Me Tonight_)

Good choices, though. Some others include the Marx Brothers’ _Horse Feathers_, Sternberg’s _Blonde Venus_, Hawks’ _Scarface_, _Fanny_ w/Raimu, Renoir’s _Boudu Saved from Drowning, The Mummy, Ecstasy, The Most Dangerous Game, Tarzan the Ape Man, White Zombie_, Capra’s _American Madness_, and two seminal animated shorts: _Flowers and Trees_ and _Minnie the Moocher_ w/Betty Boop

Well, Arch, I didn’t want to cause old-movie overload . . . But I think we have conclusively proved that 1932 was the high point in movie history, anmd it’s all been downhill since then.
