Since Inigo\_Montoya started the thread at 9:53 am on a Saturday, it felt to me (initially) like the sort of pre-coffee “deep” musing you have after staying up too late / drinking too much the Friday night before. I mean, it sounds cool and profound, and then you have a shower and a cup of coffee and go “naaaaah.” The sort of thread you kinda hope dies quietly and you can live down. Coming back to it, defending it in a way utterly excessive for the forum was plain weird. So yeah, reads as on new meds / off-old meds or some completely unrelated circumstances causing a misplaced explosion. A quick review of some of their other recent posts doesn’t show anything, so, certainly something atypical going on. ---

At least everyone else actually made arguments for why I’m wrong. You posted a one liner, saying I’m wrong without quoting or making an argument. What possible purpose could that even have? That seems more like trolling than posting something that might contain incorrect facts. But, to be clear, I assume you just had an emotional reaction. And you didn’t think about whether your post would be frustrating. It’s fine. I wouldn’t have said a word had you not Pitted me. I’m not going to relitigate what I said here. I will simply say I still see assumptions being made that I don’t agree with, but it seems that I can’t convince people of that, so I probably shouldn’t have said anything. There’s a reason I usually stay out of those threads. I’ll stick with watching the news that predicted the Iranian response back when Israel attacked. And I won’t try to provide you guys with another perspective. ---

I’m at a loss to explain what the problem is supposed to be with @BigT’s post. That he can’t prove to a certainty what news media is already widely reporting and what is largely expected? That Israel is responsible for an attack on an Iranian Embassy in Syria, and engaged in a… let’s say very problematic campaign in Gaza, that might charitably be called “not a genocide, but debatable” at best? And Iran is not-unpredictability reacting to that? ---
