Technically there still is, although he hasn’t posted since 2010. He was prolific for a while - 38,000 posts between 1999 and 2010. IIRC he was usually quite smug, with a hyperfocus on logic and not much emotional intelligence, and with a particular hatred for political correctness. ---

No one called you out in the pit. You blundered into the pit and expected everyone to treat you with kid gloves. I believe at least 3 times now. I say this in all seriousness. For your own sake, put the pit on ignore and just avoid it. You’ll be a happier person if you ignore it. ---

Moving on to some constructive criticism of a poster I like, but whom I think needs to be more careful of their posting habits on the subject of guns: @Ulfreida. I repeat, I actually like this poster, and first want to state that it’s absolutely fine to dislike America’s gun culture, gun violence, and the consequences. I will likely agree 80% or so of the time, but that’s me, that’s them, and no problem if we disagree. The problem is, that when guns come up in threads, you have a tendency to loose control of your internal filters and post in a manner that’s appropriate for the Pit, not for other forums. But there are people who enjoy her, and I’m happy to simply scroll past the “Bad, bad, bad” threads.
