That one tripped my “dumber than **Jinx** on a bad night” radar too. I expected to see they had joined yesterday. Nope, almost a year ago. Some people are so passive they make passive-aggressive seem like WWE over-the-top aggressive. But then why take the effort to post about it when it would probably be less effort to solve the problem, than to babble about it ineffectually to people who can do nothing to fix it for you? ---

Once again, DD took a crap in a perfectly good thread in response to Puzzlegals post about Kavanaugh and the rape charges. And then puked a giant post when he was called out on it. What exactly is wrong with this jerk? (“Things I’m certain of but cannot prove” in IMO) ---

Has wolfpup always been prone to dickishness? I’m thinking primarily of the pedantry and Maher threads. He comes off as a boor and a know-it-all. I seem to recall him as a basically pleasant and reasonable member. ---

I know I’m poking him in the thread that was spun off from here, but I generally like the guy. He’s usually amusing and I enjoy his contributions. But he has a couple sore spots, as you identify. He’s an ass in language threads, and he’s especially being an ass in the current one. I hope it dies soon so I can go back to liking him. ---

I also clash with him at times but generally he’s a cool guy and I’m glad he’s on the board. I think that getting into arguments with people sometimes just means they’re honest. Being honest sometimes means you say stuff people don’t like. There’s a difference between that and being a straight-up asshole. ---

Agree he’s generally a great guy. But we, including me, have been kicking him pretty hard in one of his few sore spots. He claims to enjoy a cocktail or 3 in the evening. It might be enlightening to look at the temper of various posts vs time of day. I’m certainly harsher in the late evening after a few. ---

But then it’s ambrosia! When I have enough of it, it tends to elicit in me fairly strong opinions on linguistic matters which I feel obliged to share. 😃 ---
