I might add that i have spent decades as a professional trying to make the best decisions possible when it’s not possible to get conclusive evidence. It’s literally my job to evaluate plausibility and usefulness of data. So I’d rather not play by different rules that people care deeply about. ---

What you posted was an anecdote so you could share what **you** personally like to do for yourself with a small wound. That’s not what was being asked for by the OP of that thread. “The doc” posted his conclusions after many years of experience treating such wounds as a doctor, for (probably) hundreds of different people. That **is** what was being asked for by the OP of that thread. I understand that you probably cannot tell the difference, but many other people can. ---

There’s no other factual answer than what doc said and many others. There’s no magic ointment. No magic juice. No secret sauce. Clean it. Cover it. Thats all you can do. Any more is over kill, til you know more. As in, an infection sets in. Are you just mean? You don’t have to make snide remarks about my every post. Get something else to do. So sad. Really. I followed the rules of the board. They don’t fit your criteria? Contact someone who gives a shit. 'Cause I don’t. ETA…I posted because I read the thread. The joke about the Jaguar was funny. I liked it. So sue me. I posted. I added my 2 cents. Padding the truthful way to treat wounds as stated by the doctor. ---

And before you get all verklempt, I AM an expert on wound care. Only 3 million(approx) needle pricks. Blood draws. Countless surgeries. A zillion accidents from the cat bites and scratches, burns and cuts. And I raised 4 kids. And numerous animals. I do know how and when to treat these things. I do know when to put bandaids on, and how to. I know of what I speak. The thread should never have been in FQ. Anyway. I feel bad for saying “Fuck you”. Your comment was unwarranted. ---
