There were posters I used to largely ignore by just skipping over their posts. I’ve almost never used the ignore feature and of course as a Mod, now I can’t. ---

There are posters who say shit that is so fucking infuriating that reading it ruins my experience on this board. Not many, but a few. In my opinion they are either skilled or lucky to not be banned (and one is probably on the verge of it as he has been suspended for long periods more than once). But they really are on my ignore list and the board is better for it. I think all but one has a long Pit thread devoted to them. The one who doesn’t is someone always picking fights and looking for excuses to get into conflict, I seriously think they get off on it and have a screw loose. It’s a feature that is no necessary I literally would quit this board if it didn’t exist. ---

That’s me. The skipover part, not the mod part. I tend to get more annoyed with the stupid than the tendentious. I avoid most tendentious posters by avoiding tendentious topics. So checking who is the OP author in addition to the preview contents is an important step in my personal [new topics] filtration. I’m pleased to help the slow-witted or benignly ignorant. The “I can’t even think” or the willfully confused? My response is “Buh-bye, loser; not worth my time. It might well genuinely suck to be you, and it’s a durn shame you’re stuck in that role. But I’m not Og and your problems need that level of intervention. Sorry.” ---

There are posters that i currently mostly ignore by skipping over their posts. Except i don’t always notice who the poster is, so I’m not great at this. Agree that a mod can’t use the ignore feature. ---

The threat _“I’m putting you on ignore”_ is really laughable. You still know they’re there. And it’s easy peasy to un-blur. People read them anyway. When an ignored poster is quoted, well there it is. If you can’t skip over a poster you don’t wanna read, that’s a you problem. ---

You’re OK. It used to be a lot worse around here. It’s better now. There used to be virulent transphobes expressing downright hate here. They’ve all been banned. Now the transphobes are sneaky and try to weasel their hate in with what they think are clever little ploys. Yes, Velocity, I mean you. You’re not fooling anyone. ---

I read the rules. I read how this place works. If something is blurred all you gotta do is click on it. No one’s posts are blurred fully, for me, so I assume I don’t have anyone on ignore. I think I tried to ignore someone, but it never worked. Because, they follow every post I make with some incomprehensible post. For shits and giggles, I suppose. ---
