Considering that it WAS a story about people who were black, and Muslim, why would the network execs have been offended? Anyway, TV biopics were already pretty much a thing of the past by the time that movie was made. ---

I think the poster’s point was that, in their opinion, the woke faction of the general public would be offended, and their complaints would offend the income of the show’s producers and distributors. So the craven suits caved to that fear and that’s why there’s no TV documentary about the DC snipers. See! Cancel culture is out of control!!!1!! Or some such nonsense. ---
