It’s spammers or scammers of some sort, not trolls. They will do a search for, in this case, “Battlestar Galactica” and make their post hoping for a hit. It’s like email spam. Low effort, low chance of working, high payoff. ---

I would then ask “but why the silly offensive username and moronic post if they’re trying to engage with board members?” but I think I know the answer to that too: I used to wonder how come ‘Nigerian spam emails’ worked at all when they were so blatantly fake and badly written. Then I read somewhere that it’s done on purpose-- it takes the scammer time and effort to try to reel in a fish that bites, so they make the emails so bad to self-select for the biggest morons. ---
