I’ve now totally had it with ignorant fucker Jackson99 who started a thread in IMHO on “How did Canada become more culturally public transit than the US?”. I can forgive the fact that that’s not even English, and neither are his posts, but what I cannot forgive is that he apparently already knows the answer to the question, is stubbornly resistant to all the evidence that his answer is completely wrong, and no amount of information from the lived experience of those of us who have been raised, lived, and worked in large Canadian cities all our lives can stop him from droning on and on about his asinine misconceptions. The stubborn ignorance of this fucking moron is kind of like DrDeth on steroids. I finally laid out the facts one last time as clearly as I could and told the dumbfuck that there was no point in having any further conversations with him. To which he responded with another lengthy diatribe and a bunch of maps to show me that I had no idea what I was talking about regarding this place where I had lived and worked most of my adult life. He just won’t learn, and just won’t stop. Now I’m just ignoring the dumbfuck, and suggest that others might want to do the same. ---

There is something very obtuse about that dude. He’s either dumb as a fucking post or is a provocateur. I can happily help educate the reasonably smart but ignorant who’ve been failed by our schooling system and/or their life circumstances. I may be late to the party, but **SunTanLotion** has been doing a very credible imitation of an all mouth / no ears moron in the thread that was originally “Stuff Scientists have Recently Learned about COVID” which moderator **puzzlegal** has subsequently split off the Pit-relevant parts into a new thread as “Revisiting covid denial and covid restrictions” It’s not real clear what this lady thinks, but it’s clear she doesn’t think much. She dropped some wanna-be BF guy who was too anti-vax for her tastes, but meanwhile all COVID precautions are an Attack on Freedom with No Basis in Science. Wow, that takes an especially highly developed skill at cognitive dissonance. ---

The reason I’ve not said much about SuntanLotion is that it seems so out of character for her that I wondered if she has a medical thing making her more paranoid than normal. She was entirely reasonable at the start when she asked her question. I kept debating bringing her up as I didn’t think attacks would do much good. So I tried stuff in-thread. But even then I hesitate to post while she’s starting to seem more rational again.
