Kelly green and white. We were the Squires, as the school was originally affiliated with the Catholic college which was next door (whose mascot is the Knights). My alma mater closed its closed its doors in 1989. ---

Man, always got a kick out of the sign “Home of the Chinks” as you drove down I57! :smack: Our song was original also - Go Lane Go - written by an (I believe) a member of the faculty in the music department in the early 20th century. \*Go Lane, for we are here to cheer for you. Go Lane, and win the day. Be fearless and bold for the myrtle and the gold, add laurels to our name - GO LANE GO! Go Lane, we’re with you Go Lane, we’ll cheer you Go Lane, and win the day. Just take this as a little tip, We’re bound to win the championship, So Go Lane, Go Lane Go. We’re with you Go Lane, Go Lane, Go. Red and white. The Rebels. With a confederate flag and everything. Eep. Fortunately the school has been defunct for many years now. Can’t say I miss it much. It was the county high school. The city high school was purple and gold and The Panthers. Much cooler. But, even though we lived close enough to the city school to hear the marching band practice, we were just past the district boundary so had to ride the bus ten miles each way to the county school. I don’t much like school buses either. ---

The official colors were brown and white, but orange was _everywhere_, probably in greater quantities than brown and white. A bunch of teams had orange and white uniforms with only some brown accents or no brown at all.
