# What will Obama's actions be on trade?

Some bloggers I read have generally feared protectionism, worrying that such actions would, like the Great Depression, make things a LOT worse for us economically. At least one is thus very worried by [this story,](http://blogs.abcnews.com/thenote/2008/12/becerra-trade-n.html) particularly the part that reads:

Of course, that doesn’t necessarily mean protectionist inclinations. I would, however, like to ask what Obama WILL do in terms of trade. Will his outlook on it make the economy better or worse?
