Any thoughts of what _WILL_ replace Jay Leno after the Winter Olypics? Any ideas what \*YOU’D LIKE TO SEE \*replace Jay Leno? I am guessing it’ll be another stupid reality show or Dateline ---

I heard on the radio that they were planning a Rockford Files remake for one of the slots, which should be interesting. ---

NBC ordered a record high number of pilots this year, they will have a lot of options for the fall. ---

Damn shame that it didn’t draw the numbers “needed”. I thought, and still think, that it is a good idea and, if given the time it needs, would be successful. It needs a year or two to become established as something people do. Nobody had watched this sort of program in network prime time before. If the affiliates hadn’t been squawking so much, it would have remained a good deal for NBC. ---

Until the fall they will have more Dateline shows and probably other news stuff. They could probably put some new scripted shows on in the summer. ---

One pilot NBC already has in the can is **Rex Is Not Your Lawyer**. Although America may not be crying out for a new quirky legal dramedy, I think this one has a promising cast: David Tennant (“Doctor Who,”), Jane Curtin (“Saturday Night Live,” “Third Rock From the Sun”), Jeffrey Tambor (“The Larry Sanders Show,” “Arrested Development”), and Jerry O’Connell (“Sliders,” “Crossing Jordan”). I’d like a chance to see the pilot at least. ---
