# What will the human race be like in 1000 years?

This also implies, of course, that _it doesn’t make a bit of difference_ what happens in the short term (meaning even in the next 1000 years) because in the longer term, the earth will just be a frozen ice ball anyway.

This was a point of philosophy made by Robert Ringer in one of his 1970’s-era books (I forget which):
