In France they are calling it:
“Operation Justice sans Limite”.
Which just goes to show that the French will change anything just to change it…
I’m surprised I haven’t seen this addressed yet.
Just this afternoon I was watching a press conference with Defense Department head Donald Rumsfeld, and a reported asked him about the Infinite Justice name.
According to the reporter, Arabs are having a hard time with it. To them, the only person to impose Infinite Justice is Alah, and to say otherwise is blasphemous.
In responding to questions on whether he knew this aspect of the name, Rumsfeld said he didn’t.
He said that if it were true, they’d soon change the name.
So, we still await it seems…
Not only does that set the bar unreasonably high (how do you back out of an operation called Infinite Justice?), but it also sounds too much like a Steven Seagal movie.
The operation name has been changed once again. Goodbye Infinite Justice, hello Operation Enduring Freedom.
Well, I’m off to endure some more freedom … oh the agony.
